The art of making dolls is man's continuous search for a perfect, three-dimensional image. The doll maker is therefore the one who turns make believe into reality. Dreams into wonderful living adventures and brings to life. Our favorite cast of heroes and villains.

This Brazilian artist, now living in the United States, has been involved in this special kind of art for over twenty years and has given us a whole gallery of living-dolls. Ranging from astonishing replicas of human babies to the immortal characters of royalty and the unforgettable rascals of the "comedia dell'arte".

Her interests first began at the "School of Arts & Crafts" at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. There, she took several courses in porcelain, wood and material painting. However, she soon decided to concentrate all her efforts in learning the Nuts & Bolts of porcelain crafts. Her interests were so intense. ( At the time, she was free-lancing interior design and window-decorating assignments ). She dropped everything to undertake several courses related to porcelain craft techniques.

She moved to Ribeirao Preto, a fast-sprawling city in the interior of the state of Sao Paulo, famous for coffee barons, and the famous School of Medicine. There she enrolled in the School of Engineering and opened a small advertising & public relations agency, which became the leading advertising agency of Ribeirao Preto. It was there, she became the elected President of the Federal Public Employee's Union after many years of political in-flight, and she traveled to the United States, on a virtual sabbatical leave.
